Peace

In the stillness of the night, they weep,
Their hearts heavy with burdens deep,
In the grip of oppression's cruel hand,
They long for peace in a troubled land.

Children's laughter silenced by fear,
As they wonder if salvation is near,
Mothers cradle dreams so fragile and small,
Hoping for a future free from the pall.

Fathers toil under a sunless sky,
Tears hidden as they struggle to get by,
Each day a battle, each moment a test,
Their wearied souls yearn for rest.

In the silence of their anguished cries,
Echoes of broken promises rise,
In the darkness of their shattered dreams,
Hope flickers like distant beams.

So let us feel their pain, let us see,
The wounds that mark their reality,
Extend a hand, a heart that cares,
For in empathy lies the power to repair.

Together, let us raise our voice,
For those whose suffering leaves no choice,
In unity, in compassion, let us release,
The healing balm of a long-awaited peace.

Wishing you all a joyous new month. May August unfold as the month you’ve earnestly prayed for.

BE BLESSED!
